Instructions & Trouble-shooting tips:
📌First - you'll need to be on a creator or business account (also known as "professional accounts") - not a personal account.
1. You must visit the website on a mobile device and open your browser app outside of Instagram.
2. Use Google Chrome app on mobile, and paste the link above to visit the website.
(If you click the link from inside Instagram, this may not work for you. So again, you must open up an external browser app and visit the website that way).
3. Google Chrome app on mobile seems to be the best option so far helping people unlock the trial reels feature
4. Update your Instagram app: Next, make sure you visit the App Store, search Instagram, tap on Instagram and see if your app needs to be updated. Then update the app.
5. Restart your phone.
6. Log out of Instagram, then back in.
7. Check to see if the trial reels feature has shown up on one of your older phones by logging into your account, or use a partner or friends phone to see if you can login to your account and activate the feature from this other device
(Once you post a trial reel from any device, you'll be able to see the "trial reels"Â are next to drafts).
8. Report a problem in the Instagram app: Shake your phone to report a problem, and say you don't have the trial reel feature yet, and ask how can you get it.
9. Keep trying the steps, following them exactly
Here are two other new methods that have helped IG users unlock the Trial Reels feature, including those with Android devices:
🔧 Option 1 (Fastest): Join Instagram Beta + Clean Reinstall - for ANDRIOD
🚨Warning: If you uninstall your Instagram app, your drafts will be 🗑️ DELETED so…

You may want to download any important draft videos so you can re-edit them later, or try it on a 2nd device without many drafts.
This method has helped the most users unlock Trial Reels, on Android.
1. First, check if you can join the beta inside the Instagram app.

Go to your Profile. Tap the three-line menu in the top right corner.
Scroll down until you see an option like “Early access to new features” or “Try new features first.”
If that’s available, tap it and follow the steps. You may be redirected to the Play Store.

2. If you don’t see that in-app option, go to the Google Play Store and search for Instagram.

Scroll down the page until you see the section that says “Join the Beta.” Tap “Join” and wait a few minutes for it to process.

3. Once beta access is confirmed, uninstall Instagram from your phone. Remember, this deletes any saved drafts.

4. Reinstall Instagram from the Play Store. Now you’ll be on the beta version of the app.

5. Log into your account.
6. Post one regular Reel — any quick video works. This helps trigger a refresh of the Reels editor.

7. Post a reel or Reel and tap Remix. When the Remix editor opens, you’ll may now see the Trial Reels tab or toggle available.

đź› Option 2: Report a Problem to Instagram (Slower, but has worked for others)
If the beta method doesn’t work, some people have unlocked Trial Reels by submitting multiple support tickets.
1. Go to your Profile in Instagram. Tap the three-line menu in the top right corner, then go to Settings and Privacy.

2. Scroll to the Help section and tap Report a Problem.

3. Choose “Something Isn’t Working.”

4. Write a short message like: “I don’t have access to the Trial Reels option in the Reels editor. Please enable.”

5. Attach a screen recording showing your Reels editor, clearly demonstrating that the Trial Reels tab is missing.

6. Submit. Repeat this process daily for a few days if needed.

👉 Some users have received access after about 5 to 10 submissions.

💡 Extra Tips:

Make sure your Instagram app is fully updated, especially after joining the beta.
Restart the app completely after making changes (force stop it if needed).
If you don’t want to do a full uninstall, clearing the cache (not data) in your phone settings can sometimes help reset feature rollouts.
